Schaffer Comments on the Tragedy in Lviv
FORT COLLINS, Colorado U.S. Congressman Bob Schaffer (R-CO) today issued the following statement on the death of 83 people when a fighter jet crashed into a crowd of spectators at a weekend air show in Lviv, Ukraine.:
"I am truly saddened by news of the tragic air crash at the Lviv Air Show this past weekend in which 83 people including 23 children lost their lives and scores of others were injured. My prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the families touched by this terrible tragedy."
Congressman Schaffer was first elected to Congress in November of 1996. He is a member of the Committees on Agriculture, Resources, and Education and Workforce. He is Vice Chairman of the Education Subcommittee on Education Reform, Co-Chairman of the Ukrainan Caucus, President of the Republican Junior Class, and the Speaker's appointee to the House Republican Policy Committee.
