Pозмова інтернeтом з президентом УККА про Вибори до Верховної Ради України та Ролю Громади Нью Йорк, НЙ (УККА) - За результатами чотирьох успішних розмов інтернетом з президентом УККА з питань українсько-американської громади у 21-му столітті, українського голодомору-ґеноциду, 10-ої річниці Незалежности України, та праці громади для полегшення наслідків терористичних атак 11-го вересня, YKKA вирішив відновити постійні розмови інтернетом (після свят) для того, щоб привернути увагу до якнайбільшої кількости тем з допомогою електонних засобів спілкування. Розмови інтернетом проводитимуться кожну першу середу місяця о 1-ій годині дня за східним часом. П'ята розмова інтернетом з Президентом УККА Михайлом Савківим, мол. проводитиметься у середу, 13-го лютого 2002 року. Internet Chat with the UCCA President to Discuss Parliamentary Elections in Ukraine and Role of Community New York, NY (UCCA) - Following four successful internet chats with the UCCA president in the year 2001, where issues dealing with the future of the Ukrainian-American community in the 21st century; the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide; the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's renewed independence; and the efforts of the community in response to the September 11th terrorist attacks, the UCCA has decided to resume regular internet chats (post holiday season) to bring as many topics to the forefront as possible through the electronic medium. The internet chats will be held on an ongoing monthly basis, generally the first Wednesday of every month at 1pm EST. The fifth internet chat with UCCA President Michael Sawkiw, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2002. Interested individuals are asked to go to the UCCA's website at http://www.ucca.org/chat and enter "Room #1." The topic of the fifth live internet chat will be "The Ukrainian parliamentary elections - What Can We As a Community Do?" While on the UCCA's website, one may partake in the plethora of information provided to the community. News from Ukraine (in both English and Ukrainian), information about the UCCA's various projects and publications, and a community news and calendar bulletin board are just some of the standard features on the site. The community is welcome to visit the website and use it as a means for their information on events in both Ukraine and within our community.
