U.S.-Ukraine Conference Rescheduled for Oct.31 - Nov.1 WARREN, MI- The international conference in Washington, DC to analyze U.S.-Ukraine strategic relations, which was postponed due to the terrorist attacks on America, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 31, and Thursday, November 1, 2001, in the nation's capital. The organizer of the conference, the Organization for the Defense of Four Freedom for Ukraine, has also announced the Prime Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Kinakh is expected to appear. The first day of the conference, called "Ukraine's Quest for Mature Nation Statehood: Roundtable II-Taking Measure of a U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership," will be in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 902. The entrance to the Hart Building is located near Constitution Avenue and 2nd Street, N.E. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the first presentation starts at 8:50 a.m. The second day's events will be held in the U.S. Capitol Building, Senate Caucus Room 5 (SC 5). The entrance to the Capitol Building is situated near Constitution Avenue or Independence Avenue. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the first presentation is at 9:00 a.m. The Embassy of Ukraine, 3350 M St., NW, will host a pre-conference reception on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, 7:30 P.M. - 9:30 P.M.
