Statement by the NATO-Ukraine Commission

The Nato-Ukraine Commission extends its deepest condolences to the families and victims of the barbaric acts of terrorism committed against the United States of America on 11 September 2001. These attacks, unprecedented in scale and horror, were directed against the very foundation of democracy and freedom throughout the world. NATO and Ukraine condemn in the strongest possible terms these atrocities, and stand united in their commitment to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice and punished. In the spirit of its distinctive partnership with NATO, Ukraine stands ready to contribute fully to this effort.

NATO and Ukraine appeal to the entire international community to undertake all measures to combat the scourge of terrorism.

Declaration de la commission OTAN- Ukraine

La Commission OTAN-Ukraine présente ses plus sincères condoléances aux familles et aux victimes des actes barbares de terrorisme perpétrés contre les Etats-Unis d'Amérique le 11 septembre 2001. Ces attaques, dont l'ampleur et l'horreur sont sans précédent, étaient dirigées contre les fondements même de la démocratie et de la liberté dans le monde entier. L'OTAN et l'Ukraine condamnent ces atrocités avec la plus grande vigueur et prennent ensemble l'engagement de veiller à ce que les auteurs de ces actes soient traduits en justice et punis. Dans l'esprit de son partenariat spécifique avec l'OTAN, l'Ukraine est prête à contribuer pleinement à cet effort.

L'OTAN et l'Ukraine en appellent à la communauté internationale toute entière pour que toutes les mesures soient prises afin de combattre le fléau du terrorisme.
