New York (11 September) -- United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan thanked New York City authorities and New Yorkers for their "courtesy, understanding and support" during last week's Millennium Summit by ordering the words "Thank You NY" displayed on both sides of the UN Headquarters building for two days.
