Jazzman John Stetch Performs Solo Recital of Ukrainian Music, and More
Winner of the 1998 "Pix du Jazz" at the Montreal International Jazz Festival,
Canadian-Ukrainian John Stetch will play a rarely heard program of music at
one of New York's most elegant piano showrooms, Faust/Harrison Pianos. Born
and raised in Edmonton, Canada, McGill graduate Stetch has been living and
working in the New York City for 7 years. He placed 2nd in the 1993
Thelonious Monk International Composer's Competition, and has 5 CDs under his
own name, and has been recently been added to the prestigious roster of
Steinway artists. Showtime is at 7pm on Thursday, March 23rd @ Faust/Harrison
Pianos (205 w.58th St. Manhattan), and admission is a suggested donation of
$10.
