I think it is very good your idea and I recommend you some names (they are very famous in Ukraine): Natalka,Halya, Orest, Taras, Vasyl, Mykhailo (Michael in other word), Dmytro, Lesya, Hryhoriy and Bohdan .
Natalka is very famous name in Ukrainian folklore (from 19th century), and Taras is the name of great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. The ethymology of name Vasyl is connected with word ,prince' and Bohdan - Bohdan Khmelnytsky was the khetman of Ukraine.
