The Korovai question has been thoroughly answered. But I was browsing the 2000 Yevshan catalog (www.yevshan.com) and on p. 67 I noticed a little booklet called Traditional Ukrainian Ritual Breads and Bread Pastries for $3.75. So I thought that I would call it to your attention, since it relates to the topic and it is reasonably priced. To quote from the catalog "28 page booklet about the tradition of baking breads. Recipes are given for basic breads, Christmas kolach, Easter babka and paska (with ornaments), pastries (makivnyk, pampushky, pyrohy, medivnyk), and Wedding korovai with doves and shyshky. Great little reference book! (in English)"
